The Initial Nutrition Consultation is an in-depth evaluation of the your health history, food and nutrient intake, lifestyle, medical history, and goals. All nutritional protocols are based on bio-individuality. There is no perfect diet for everyone. Nutritional protocols are designed to help each client find the right types of whole foods that will restore balance, enhance their health and achieve their goals. This comprehensive session includes a thorough health screening of your personal health history and current dietary intake to include:
Health History Questionnaire
Review of the individual’s medical history including acute and chronic illness, therapies, or treatments, lifestyle that may increase nutrient needs or induce malabsorption .
Online Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ)
The NAQ is broken down into two main parts. Part 1 deals with Diet, Lifestyle, and Medications. Part 2 focuses on the organ systems of the body and is organized according to very specific systems called the “Foundations of Health.”
Analysis of 3-Day Food Journal and Recommendations
Includes questions about the individual’s lifestyle—including the number of meals eaten daily, where they are eaten, and who prepared the meals. Exercise frequency and occupation help to identify the need for increased calories.
Report of Findings
Once the data on the client is collected and organized, we will assess and evaluate the nutritional status of the individual. The assessment leads to a plan of care, or intervention, designed to help the individual either maintain the assessed status or attain a healthier status.
